                                Yesterday, while I was on the treadmill, Patrick my dog messed up my workout time. I don't know why, I thought somebody was around the house that made him ran away and barked at something. When dogs growl/bark there is ALWAYS a reason!!! And, so, I thought he heard something, I stopped what I am doing and check what's going on outside our house that made him barked. Well, it's nothing. He barked at something that wasn't there.

                              So, I went back on the treadmill and started all over again. While I was on the treadmill, I played the music and he started barking again in the middle of my workout. I was like, “What's going on with you... dog?”

                            I figured it was the music. He was hearing something from the music. I know it was the music because I played the music twice and he jumped twice.

                           How funny! I played that music again today, and he did it again. What's with this music? The song title is Out of this Club by Pussycat dolls feat. R. Kelly.

                        

               Well, the song is pretty cool. It sounded sweet, fresh, and different. I don't know if Patrick liked it. I bet he doesn't wanna hear it.

                Now this is going to be one of my favorite since Patrick made a story about this. He made me angry and made me like this song. :)

A Guide to Naturalization: Application Mailed!

                      I went to my bank yesterday to get the money order to pay for the application. Don't forget to pay it to U.S. Department of Homeland Security on your check/money order if you do yours.

                     I also went to Walmart to get my passport sized photo. It costs about $10 for the two colored photos. Here are the 7 steps to successful photos.

1. Frame subject with full face, front view, eyes open.
2. Photo presents full head from top of hair to bottom of chin.
3. Center head.
4. Make sure eye level is between 28mm and 35mm from bottom of top
5. Photograph subject against a plain white or off-white background
6. There should be no distracting shadows on the face or background
7. Please have a natural expression.

And then, I had everything ready to mail.

I paid $7.68 at the post office with the return receipt fee of $2.30 included.

The Sound Of Music

                         Our family watched this movie last night. And I've never tired of watching this movie. I adore the Sound of Music and I’ve always wanted to be a part of it. This blog was created to give information to all of you who fell in love to the most popular musical movie of all time!

                         Do you love the Sound Of Music too? Please share your thoughts about it.

                         When I was in high school I was thrilled that our teachers chose this movie for the Christmas Program. I was selected to play the oldest girl, Liesl. I wanted to be just like her when I was fourteen. My wish came true when I was selected to portray her role. I was able to sing “Sixteen Going on Seventeen” with a boy who were also singing the verses about being seventeen going on eighteen. I loved that scene. I also played Maria's role in college through dancing during our Music Recital. But I love Liesl forever!

                          I just learned from my nephew that Liesl (Charmian Carr) "Sixteen Going On Seventeen" was shot in the gazebo, one of the last to be done. She slipped while leaping across a bench, and fell through a pane of glass. Her ankle was hurt and the scene was later shot with her leg wrapped. Oh, well, I am deeply impressed with her stoic bravery. If it was me, I would be crying like a baby, Haha! Just kidding. I'll probably be O.K. as soon as handsome Captain von Trapp(Christopher Plummer) gets there to rescue me. :) Here's a picture of Charmian Carr. Before and Now.

Charmian Carr wasn't exactly 16 going on 17 years old when she played Liesl. She was actually 21.

Chocolate Cheese Cake

                              Today is the 24^th and its December 25^th in the Philippines because they are 13 hours ahead of the United States. I tried to call the Philippines, but I couldn't get through sometime around midnight there and lunch time over here. So, I called them this afternoon and I was successful. I know it's hard to call them on the busiest time (12:01am Midnight) when everybody is calling and texting at the same time. I missed the midnight occasion, where everyone dine in together and eat special food.

                             Well, I just want to thank God for the good health, abundant blessings and good career and life.

                             Since, it's Christmas time, I baked one of my favorite cakes today and I want to share it with all my readers. I have never made a cheesecake before in my life and decided to give this one a try for my readers and since I have my relatives coming tomorrow. (If I have readers). Hahaha. My readers are all quite, Is anybody there? Well, speak up!

                            I just remembered that when it was my first time to cook Filipino beef steak it was easy following the recipe (for a first-timer) and the end, the result was great! Hubby liked it. That's when I started to cook more and tried to bake. I also included my old baking videos below and hoping to add some Filipino food in the future.

A Guide To Naturalization: Gathering the Requirements

                    I woke up this morning feeling I have a job to do. I was tired. It's all about the coffee that I drank last night. Well, duh?! What was I thinking? That's why we need to drink coffee in the morning. And I also heard “Cheetoh” the hamster on its wheel making that noise again. I know hamsters are nocturnal, I should buy him a “Silent Spinner”. Or probably he can sleep with my dogs in the garage and that should teach him to hush! HAHA.

                   Ok, now let's get to business. Before checking for the US Citizenship/Naturalization requirements, let's talk about the importance of it.

                 U.S. citizenship provides many rights, including the right to vote, but also involves many responsibilities. A person who wants to naturalize must first be a permanent resident. By becoming a U.S. citizen, you gain many rights that permanent residents or others do not have. To be eligible for naturalization, you must first meet certain requirements set by U.S. law.

                  Like me, I have been here for more than 3 years and I have a 10 year greencard. So, I am all set to go. Now, if you want to do it later, that is also fine. Hubby wants me to do it now, to be able for me to vote and while we have all the opportunities to do it.

Here are the requirements to apply for naturalization:

You must:

• Be age 18 or older;
• Be a permanent resident for a certain amount of time (usually 5 years but 3 years for fiancee and spouse visa);
• Be a person of good moral character;
• Have a basic knowledge of U.S. history and government;
• Have a period of continuous residence and physical presence in the United States; and
• Be able to read, write, and speak basic English.

Steps for Naturalization Application

1. To apply for naturalization, file a Form N-400, Application for 
       Naturalization (click the highlighted form to fill it out and if you have questions post a note/email me)
2. Use a personal check or money order for both the application and
    biometrics fee of $680. Make sure the check or money order is made out
    to:
       U.S. Department of Homeland Security

3. A photocopy of both sides of your Permanent Resident Card.
4.Two identical color photographs, with your name and A number written in pencil on the back of each photo.

On the basis of marriage to a U.S. citizen, send the following items:

• Spouse's Birth certificate,
• photocopy of the inside of the front cover and signature page of your spouse's current U.S. passport,
• Your current marriage certificate,
• Proof of termination of all prior marriages of your spouse-divorce decree(s), annulment(s), or death certificate(s),
• Internal Revenue Service (IRS)-certified copies of the income tax forms that you both filed for the past three years.

                 All of my naturalization requirements are ready except for the photographs and the money order of $680 (biometrics fee included). Just keep everything organize, make copies and put all the important documents back in your filing cabinet. You also need to make a copy of each document you will send, just in case.

                         It's time for me to apply for US citizenship. As I was gathering all the requirements over the Christmas break, I thought about “What a better time to begin writing my blog?" I thought about sharing what I do. I have never blogged before, so all of my posts may be visa processing that I did before or now, my life as a teacher, experiences and anything that I could think of! But I can guarantee you that you will find this site very useful especially to those who moved and will be moving to the United States on a marriage visa and also if you are a new teacher like me.
